面影 book&craftの店主・岩井謙介が2010年から旅を続け、2015年に創刊したインディペンデントマガジンです。創刊当初より北欧や日本の国内外のクリエイターたちのインタビューや撮影、編集・デザインを自身で行ない製作しています。流行りのものを追わず、クリエイターたちがどのように物事を捉え、アウトプットし、考えているかという本質に着目し毎号異なるテーマを軸にインタビューしています。インタビューでは、その人自身の内面性やマインドなどを伝えていけるようにじっくりと耳を傾け対話をしてクリエイターたちの言葉を紡いでいます。

11作目となる本誌は「imperfection」をテーマに、北欧のクリエイターたちが考えている「不完全」について特集しています。
完璧なことが正しいことのようにイメージされがちな今の世の中において、 もう一度、完全ではないこと、不完全なことに目を向けながら、家具デザイナー、クラフツマン、ケフィアブリュワー、投資家、ファッションデザイナーなどの8名の北欧のクリエイターたちの考えをインタビュー形式で編集しています。
また、11作目からは日本のクリエイターにもフォーカスを当てた「THE COMPASS」という章もスタートしています。第一弾の舞台は長野県の松本・安曇野。現地に足を運び、自分たちが自分たちらしくあれる場所「HOME」などについてカフェのオーナー、レザーシューズ工房、眼鏡枠職人の3名のクリエイターたちと一緒に考えています。

The theme of latest 11th issue is "imperfection" through Nordic perspective.
In a recently world where perfection is often viewed as the right thing. So, again, while thinking at what is not perfect, furniture designers, craftsmen, kefir brewery, investors, fashion designers, we have compiled the ideas of eight Nordic creators in an interview format.
And also, from this 11 issue, we start to focus on Japanese creators.This chapter name is "The COMPASS" that get inspired by Nordic viking compass. The first location focused is Matsumoto and Azumino in Nagano Prefecture in Japan.We discussed about places where we can go back to ourselves "HOME" with the owner of the cafe, the leather shoes workshop, and the glasses frame maker.
